One of our most complicated scenes to film is a scene showing a news report of the discovery of a body in a river, this requires 3 cast members, a news reporter and two police officers who will be searching through the river for any other evidence. The props that will be required for this scene are a microphone (for the reporter to hold) and some police tape (to section off the area). In terms of costume, the news reporter will be wearing a white shirt, suit jacket and trousers, and the workmen will be wearing fluorescent jackets and trousers. This use of costume and props should carry the message across to the audience that it is a news report with or without any sound.
We have found the ideal location for shooting this footage in the suffolk village of Ixworth, the only problem with this location is that walking route passes through it and people use this route to walk their dogs quite frequently. There will almost certainly be someone walking through while we are filming so to prevent any inconveniences we will put a poster up on the entrance to the dog walk to let people know that filming is taking place and asking people to keep silent and ensure their animals are kept on a leash. We will also keep someone located 50-100 yards down the pathway to just give any who missed the sign a heads up, this will also give us the ability to respectfully hold people back for a minute if we need to when filming. Here are a few pictures of the riverside, although it may be worth noting that these pictures where taken in winter and on the day of filming there may be leaves on the bushes however they will not cause any obstruction to the view of the camera or actors.
